[And after yet another fairly troublesome mishap in her room, Flora finally manages to turn her Gear on. She had been meaning to just send a private call, but it didn't look like that was possible now. Her skin's taken on a sickly yellow tint, with black lines creeping from her neck to her cheeks, and her dark eyes are now a bold ruby color. There's probably more where that came from, but she's got her blanket wrapped about her.

For a long second, Flora just stares at it, watching the blinking light flash back and forth, but then she sighs in relief.]

Oh, thank goodness, it's not... broken a-after all...

[She scoots a little closer, pulling the blanket tighter around herself to hide the marks.]

F-for... everyone... afflicted w-with... w-well, everything... I... I--hope we all f-find a cure soon! Just... h-hang in there!

[Bravest smile she can muster, before she wiggles closer to her Gear and reaches out for it, showing her black-marked yellow fingers for a split second before she pulls her hand back in. Nope, still afraid to touch it. A nervous glance at the gear, then at the door.]

...P-professor?

A little... help... here?]

[But thankfully, her Mareep, who's been watching this entire scene sadly from the side of the room, takes pity on her and goes to turn the connection off for her.]

F-Flora?

[A sickly Luke is knocking on the door, and similarly he has a blanket wrapped around himself. His usually rosy cheeks seem a lot more redder then usual, and it's not just because he's sick either...]

A-are you a-all right?

[Flora carefully eased the door open from her position kneeling on the floor, and she gave him a pathetic smile.]

Y-yeah... I'm... I'm okay... A-are you feeling any better?

[She notices the red and just thinks that his fever's spiked. Oh Luke...]

[He pulls the blanket closer, also hiding the black-tipped yellow horns that have been growing from his head. He sniffs a little, rubbing his face with his sleeve.]

I-I think I'm f-feeling w-worse, actually. W-what do you t-think is happening to us?

[Oh, she does not like the sound of that. With a soft sigh, she pulls herself to her feet so she can pull Luke into her room. They can both sit on her bed and be miserable together for a while.]

I don't know... No one d-does, b-but some p-people are trying to f-figure... it out.

[She twitches and almost drops her blanket. With a small meep of surprise, she quickly pulls it over her again.]

[Luke doesn't get to see her without the blanket long enough for him to notice the changes, but he will curl up next to her on the bed.]

I-I hope t-they figure it out s-soon. I-I hate b-being s-sick.

[Yay, cuddle time. She tries to bring her blanket around them both so they can sit and be miserable and warm together.]

M-me too. It's... i-it's quite rotten! W-well... let's not... focus on it t-too much, alright? W-want to... solve a p-puzzle?

[He curls up under the blanket with her, already feeling a bit more comforted with her near.

He perks up at the word "puzzle".]

S-sure! W-which ones d-do you know?

[!!! Even a little girl is sick..]

That's right, a cure will be found soon. Just hang in there, alright..?

[She smiles, giving her a nod.]

I know... W-we're just w-waiting. [Fighting off a small twitch, she moves a little closer.] A-are you... okay?

[Offering a reassuring smile, she nods.] Yes, I guess I arrived too late to catch it. My name is Cheria, what's yours? [MUST COMFORT CHILD sob the poor girl!]

[A small sigh of relief.] T-that's good! Try... n-not to catch it... w-while you're here.

I'm Flora. N-nice... to meet you, Cheria.

I'll do my best! It's nice to meet you too, Flora. Hey, tell me about your Pokemon, are they friendly? [A distraction for the child in the form of ~~hopefully~~ cute things! She'd have her Trubbish be cute but uh... trash bag. Maybe Cheria can use that fish..]

My... pokémon? W-well... I've got t-two!

[Moving over a little, she beckons over the little Mareep from earlier. The little sheep reeeeeeps over at the gear, smiling sheepishly.] T-this... this one is Agatha. S-she's my Mar--eep! A-and then... I've g-got a G-Gible, w-whom I've n-named Julian.

Agatha.. what a cute name! It fits her nicely. [Smiling warmly, Cheria gently taps a finger over the screen as if she could pet the fluffy sheep.] Julian sounds like a really good name too!

T-thank you! This one o-only... fits her, b-because she's j-just as gentle. B-but Julian...? H-he bites.

What does Julian look like? I'm afraid I don't know what a Gible is yet.

L-like... a little dinosaur, actually! He's... blue with a r-red stomach. A-and... a fin.

[As she describes the pokémon, she wiggles about a little, dropping the blanket with her gesture of the fin. Besides the rather old-fashioned frilly pink and white nightgown she's in, her arms from the elbows down are equally yellow with black marks tracing a vain-like pattern through to her fingertips. The marks on her cheeks and her neck are all the more prominent against the contrast of her clothing. But Flora finally lowers her hands, not quite realizing that she's dropped the blanket.]

A dinosaur huh.. I guess that explains why he's a biter. Be careful with him then! [She has to pause, looking worried at being able to see the girl so much easier. It really is concerning, all of those marks, and it's enough that Cheria nearly brings her hands to her mouth. Folding them instead, she bites her lip gently.]

Does he at least listen to you? [Keep the topic on the Pokemon..]

I am. [But Cheria's reaction doesn't go unnoticed, so she catches that little worry. Looking down, she realizes the blanket had fallen, so she blushes and quickly goes to pull it back up.]

Sorry about that...

That's good.. ah -- [Smiling apologetically, she shakes her head.] No, it's okay. It's how you look, for now, and I know you will be just fine once a cure is found. [Her smile turns reassuring then.] You don't need to apologize at all.

[Strange, this was almost like the sickly citizens from before the outbreak, minus all the strange mutations that's happening. Ugh, if only he's not strapped to a bed with bandages all over him.]

...Hey, hang in there, alright?

[Her smile grows as she nods to him, interrupted only by a rather violent shudder. She's very glad that people are trying to cheer her up too.]

Thank y-you. I w-will.

Hey, 'ts the least I can do, considering I'm stuck in a hospital bed at the moment.

[There's a tired smile coming from him, as his Pikachu kinda peeked into the feed.]

[She gasps a little. She had been curious about the bandages she could see, but... stuck in the hospital?!]

I d-do hope you feel b-better... I-it must be d-dreadful being hospitalized...

[Oh, she sees you, little Pikachu! And for as concerned as she's trying to look, she can't help but smile at it. Your pokémon is cute!]

I'm kinda used to it by now, so-

[Lessee... Punched by a Swampert, check. Getting into fights, check. Having a Pineco self-destruct on him, double-check.]

I guess it's not that bad.

[And his Pikachu is going to blink for a bit, before waving excitedly.

"Pika~!"

...Well, looks like she doesn't really care if the other person's looking a bit weird right now.]

O-oh... I'm sorry.

[But at least he's taking it in stride! And he's got his cute little Pikachu next to him. After a rather violent twitch and pulling the covers a bit closer, she smiles and waves back.]

A-at least you're... in good c-company.

...Well, she can be pretty annoying at times- [There's going to be a small pout on Pikachu's face as she half-turned to him. And also sending a glare, which kinda made him shrink back a bit.] - see what I mean?

[And then said Pikachu's going to just sigh, before shaking her heads while throwing her shoulders up.

...Kinda like what Shinn's doing actually.]

[Ohp, Flora is laughing at this scene.]

You and she are... quite alike, it seems.

Her? She just likes copying what she sees.

And mimicking faces.

[True to his statement, she's going to do her best Bulbasaur impression, complete with a squeaky "Bulba- saur!"]

[More giggling.] That's so cute! She must be enjoying herself.

Yeah, she likes entertaining people with those tricks.

[Well, whenever they're in a park together, that is.]

[. . . Yeah. Not liking how this disease stuff has taken such a toll on Flora. He's not going to comment on her appearance if she doesn't comment on his.]

Right. [And for her, a ~~fangfilled~~ grin.] We're gonna get better, so get off the gear and get back to sleep. [NOW.]

[She catches those fangs, but she won't bring them up if he doesn't! Seeing as he's just as optimistic as she is, she just giggles.]

B-but it's... not t-that late, Rin! T-that and... sleeping's... a b-bit difficult at the moment. W-why are you... awake?

Difficult? Maybe you need a warm drink. [He's a little concerned now, but he has a feeling that she has people around to take good care of her.]

Me? [Whoa wait, when did the tables turn?] Well, j-just lying in bed waiting to get better is boring s-so...

I could... t-try. I had t-tea, but... i-it wouldn't settle well. [The side-effects aren't being very nice to her. But thankfully, she's got a papa person to coddle her... and the other half of the household.

She has to smile at him, though.] Sleeping will... m-make the time go faster, you know.

Maybe soup. A little bit of ginger could help your stomach... [If he knew that, he'd be more content. But alas...]

[He manages to frown a little at her suggestion.]

Sleep's boring. And a little uncomfortable since I'm warm and it's been a warm day. Still, not as bad as it could be...

I... may try ginger. The... t-the soup d-din't. [She looks away at that, but as he points out his own uncomfortable situation, she perks up.]

M-maybe sit outside? I spoke to t-this one gentleman. A-and... he said t-the rain felt nice. M-maybe... It will help you too?

Ginger tea? Ginger candy? [Never tried ginger candy before, but if it gets her to have ginger in her system and potentially do go things, then it can't be bad! ...Or it could make her worse. Twas a gamble.]

[At the mention of rain he scrunches his nose.] Don't think so. I mean, rain ain't bad or nothin'. I'm not feeling up to getting all wet. [The very thought was ... unwanted.]

_{[Hello, Henry actually has very little idea of what's going on because he lives in Henry Land (aka a sleeping bag) but this girl has stripes.]}

Wait, what? Are you okay?

[Flora pulls the blanket a little more around her as she puts on her braves smile.]

Y-yes! I'm... I'm o-okay!

Oh...a cure for what?
