[Flora holds up the gear, smiling quite deviously. It seems like just another day, but she's outside this time, with a pink hat perched on her head and standing near what seems to be trees. She looks rather excited to be out there.]

I know it's a little late into the season, but it's the start of a fresh year and I've decided it's time to head out on a bit of an adventure. At least... to the next city. [She smiles sheepishly.] I haven't been on a proper adventure yet. It shouldn't be too hard, should it? If all else, I'm up for the challenge. I think I've packed just about everything I needed...

All except a travel buddy, really. I had one person in mind, a young Mister Triton with whom I happen to share a dwelling, but... It really would be a shame if you're too busy to go with me.

[Hint hint nudge nudge. HEY LUKE. HEY.]

I can imagine you've got quite a few things to do here, so I figure I can travel alone...

Though, I guess if a Mister Triton would care to accompany me, he only needs to gather his party, seeing as I may have packed a little more than expected.

[She grins and gives the gear a small wave before turning it off.]

A bit of sunshine and fresh air is always healthy. Besides, I'm sure you'll make it worth his time. You'll both have the chance to see plenty of new Pokémon, right?

Right! I'm sure it'll be a nice adventure. It'll be my first one, and he's my most experienced tour guide.

Your first adventure? Didn't you have to reach the town where you've been staying in the first place?

[She shakes her head.]

I waited in New Bark Town until the Professor and Luke came to save me. I guess the wait was a little adventurous but I didn't have to do much.

Did you at least get a look at the Pokémon on route 29, or did you not have the time?

I saw a few. My starter... He liked running into the grass right at the start of the path and having me fish him out. We had three days to wait so we were acquainted with one patch quite well.

Be careful, then. Maybe he'll try that again while you're on your way to the next city.

I'd like to hope not! But... he probably will. [She sighs.] He's quite a handful.

The kind of handful that's more trouble than it's worth, or the kind that's secretly sweet to watch?

[She giggles a little, nodding.]

Pretty much. He's like a puppy... if dogs could turn into dinosaurs.

That must be painful when he tries to climb on your lap.

He's not too bad about it, unless he steps on my toes. He has little paws that he doesn't grip with very hard. It's his teeth I'm often concerned over.

Do they come with bite attacks, or are they just sharp?

Not a single bite attack, strangely! They're just sharp, and sometimes he bites his tongue or his paw. But other than that, he's just a silly little thing.

That's good to hear. Do he take care of the rest of your team, as the oldest?

[She looks thoughtful for a moment, but then just giggles.]

He doesn't. I can't even imagine him in such a role. He's just a hyper little thing.

That's fine, too. Every team needs one of those, or else they'll get too serious.

Precisely! He's our little cheerleader. Or the troublemaker.

Two very important duties. I'm sure he's wonderful at them.

Quite wonderful at both, I must say!

And I bet he enjoys them, too.
