[And on the screen pops the ever so lovable Flora, standing in the kitchen of her home. She really loves not having to live at the inn anymore--it gives her full reign in the kitchen. But as a burned, scientifically-concocted breakfast sits on the table for her little family (really, the only things properly edible are the fruits in the bowl and the juice in the pitcher), today's post has nothing to do with food. In fact, it's all about treatment. And this subject is one Flora is growing to feel very strongly about.]

Good morning, everyone! I hope you're well. I apologize for being a bother, but I've got a few concerns regarding this world, actually. I know everyone's taken up the habit of battling their pokémon and I understand they're quite useful when it comes to defense against wild encounters, but... [She pauses, takes a deep breath, and:]

I truly don't think it's fair to force these little animals to fight! In fact, I think it's cruel. Someone I had spoken to earlier had suspected that we're to train them for war, and that's not right at all. Why should we make them fight for us, especially in a war with no clear meaning? They're just little animals, they shouldn't be forced to battle.

[That was hard. She looks genuinely bothered by this! But after a calm breath, she smiles back at the gear.] Instead, can't we just love and care for them? They're all quite cute. Even the dinosaurs.

[And with that, she shuts off the gear. She feels better about it, in any case. But she'll stay in the kitchen a little while longer.

Meanwhile, her Gible is currently at the table, trying to steal one of the 'pancakes' she made. Too bad his stubby arms can't reach. But at least, if anyone wants to pretend they've eaten her abominable breakfast, her Gible is willing to help.]

Layton will just get his cup of tea and sit down, not even daring to touch that "breakfast". His Ninetales sits beside him and looks at it with the biggest (bah) face that a fox can ever have. Oh god, Layton should really try to speak to Flora about attending the cooking classes at his school. ]

From my understanding, battles are a type of sport here. Most, but certainly not all, Pokemon seem to enjoy competition and to fight with others.

[Professor, I've been making friends on my picture-phone! And I also made you breakfast, please eat up! Don't you like the spinach and boysenberry pancakes?]

A sport? But Professor, it's so dangerous!

[ N-No... Boysenberry, it's more like Poisonberry when it comes to Flora's cooking.. ]

Yes, but I suppose it's the thrill that both the Pokemon and trainers have from battles that makes it appealing. There is also the fact that Pokemon can easily be healed back to normal, so the sense of danger is much lower.

[But everything's made with love!]

Oh... that's truly quite bizarre. I'm not sure I'll ever understand this concept.

[ Your love is toxic then!! ]

It is rather difficult to grasp, but it can be compared to wrestling matches in our world, so I assure you that there is no upcoming war or anything of the sort.

[Even her love for you, Professor? ;A;]

Oh... Well, so long as there won't be any sort of war, it's at least a little settled. But... very rough. I can't say I'm a fan.

[Although, her little Gible could use a bit of rough training. Don't mind him, he's still trying to steal the food from the table. Watching him struggle a little brings Flora to realize that Layton hasn't actually grabbed himself a plate yet.]

Oh! Professor, you haven't touched breakfast yet.

Ah, I'm afraid I'm not too hungry this morning, but thank you, Flora...

[She gasps softly at that, taking a few steps closer.]

Are you feeling alright? Perhaps you should take it easy today if you're unwell...

I am a bit exhausted from school work, but I am quite fine. I will just be sticking with my tea for this morning.

[ Looking at it, his tea cup is almost empty now. Maybe Flora can try to show that her tea making skills are better... hopefully... ]

Alright... Perhaps you should rest at home early this evening. It wouldn't do for you to tire yourself out.

[But she catches him looking down and follows his eyes to his teacup.] Would you like some more tea? I'm brewing a fresh batch in the kitchen. [Gosh Professor, what do you take her for? Tea's the easiest thing to make.]

[ He was thinking about coming home right after he finishes his classes so he can relax. ]

[ He nods. ]

Yes, more tea will be wonderful.

Alright! One moment, please!

[And with that she scuttles into the kitchen and returns with the kettle and nice, if not a little strong, English breakfast tea. She carefully pours him a cup.]

[ Ah, that smells wonderful. Hopefully, it tastes just as good as it smells. ]

Thank you, my dear.

[ After blowing it a few times, he takes a sip from his cup and oh man, that's actually not half bad. *^* ]

This is a wonderful cup of tea.

[She practically beams. Professor, you make her so happy!] I'm glad it's to your liking.

[She'll set the kettle down on this tea cozy here, so he can have more at his disposal.

And with that, she takes a seat next to him. Yay, being with the Professor is so nice~]

[ Now they can have some nice father-daughter time together!! ]

Have you eaten anything for breakfast yet, Flora?

[Papaaaa~ She's so happy! But as he inquires about food, she looks at the table, then sheepishly smiles.]

Not exactly, but I snacked about on the ingredients while I was cooking and accidentally filled myself up again. [Now you learn the tricks on how she never eats her own creations.]
