second ✿ video/action for the Layton house
[And on the screen pops the ever so lovable Flora, standing in the kitchen of her home. She really loves not having to live at the inn anymore--it gives her full reign in the kitchen. But as a burned, scientifically-concocted breakfast sits on the table for her little family (really, the only things properly edible are the fruits in the bowl and the juice in the pitcher), today's post has nothing to do with food. In fact, it's all about treatment. And this subject is one Flora is growing to feel very strongly about.]
Good morning, everyone! I hope you're well. I apologize for being a bother, but I've got a few concerns regarding this world, actually. I know everyone's taken up the habit of battling their pokémon and I understand they're quite useful when it comes to defense against wild encounters, but... [She pauses, takes a deep breath, and:]
I truly don't think it's fair to force these little animals to fight! In fact, I think it's cruel. Someone I had spoken to earlier had suspected that we're to train them for war, and that's not right at all. Why should we make them fight for us, especially in a war with no clear meaning? They're just little animals, they shouldn't be forced to battle.
[That was hard. She looks genuinely bothered by this! But after a calm breath, she smiles back at the gear.] Instead, can't we just love and care for them? They're all quite cute. Even the dinosaurs.
Thank you for listening. I hope you all have a good day!
[And with that, she shuts off the gear. She feels better about it, in any case. But she'll stay in the kitchen a little while longer.
Meanwhile, her Gible is currently at the table, trying to steal one of the 'pancakes' she made. Too bad his stubby arms can't reach. But at least, if anyone wants to pretend they've eaten her abominable breakfast, her Gible is willing to help.]

[beaaaaaaaaaaaaming~] It's a great hobby~.
But at that smile, she finds herself smiling eagerly.] Do you like to cook?
Like I said, it's a hobby. I like seeing people happy. [And after a good meal, who isn't happy? His smile turns into a smirk as he points to her... cuisine.] What about you and cooking?
Oh yes, I absolutely love to! I had to find ways to entertain myself where I'm from, so I learned to cook! ["Learned". Her meals are edible around 5% of the time, giving her as much credit as possible.]
[The self-taught cook. Gotta respect that enthusiasm. Her food still looks nightmarish.] I can give you a few tips if you want 'em. What were you cooking?
Pointers would be very helpful, thank you! I cannot turn down free help. I... I made breakfast. Spinach and boysenberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns.
[Spinach pancakes actually sound tasty, but the boysenberry inclusion does not. He thinks it over for a second. It's hard to figure out what to say since he hasn't tasted the meal but visuals were pretty important too.]
Since you're making breakfast, you should have left out the spinach from the pancakes. That way they'll add a sweet touch to the rest of the savory part of the meal. ...And get a timer so you don't overcook anything. ...I can't say for sure since I haven't tasted what you have there.
A timer, and no spinach... Alright. I can do that next time. [It sounds like a decent plan to her! She takes a moment to jot this down in a small notebook.] If you're in Goldenrod, you could come over for breakfast, if you'd like.
Good luck! Maybe next time it won't end up looking like that. [You know, like a horror movie masterpiece. He appreciates the invitation~.] I'm not... but thanks. I wouldn't mind helping you out if you need more advice.
[She giggles.] I can never turn down free advice! Thank you so much... Um... I haven't caught your name yet! And I haven't introduced myself either. I'm so sorry!
My name is Flora Reinhold.
[He's a little more bashful this time~. It's not often that he's thanked for anything!]
Hey, it's not a problem! I should have introduced myself too! I'm Rin Okumura.
It's a pleasure to get to know you, Rin. You've been a very big help!
Like I said, it's no problem Ms. Reinhold~. [He thinks of how cool it would be to eat breakfast with anyone. It's been a while.]
Maybe. ...Maybe someday I'll show you how to make it look presentable. [And edible. Hopefully edible.]
[She giggles again.] You can just call me Flora! I'm far too young for surnames!
[That would be fun. Might risk burning something, but it would be fun! At the presentable line, she laughs.] They do look a bit unique, don't they?
